90th Parish Anniversary

On Sunday, September 28th, St. John's celebrated its 90th Anniversary.  We were blessed to have our Dean,  Archpriest Jeff Zias, concelebrating the Divine Liturgy with our interim priest, Protopresbyter Joseph Fester, and Protodeacon Emil Gulick of Hawk Run, PA. Dignitaries from State and Local government presented official proclamations before the Liturgy and also at the Banquet held at Macaluso's Restaurant in Nesquehoning.  Also marking the day was the Reception into the Orthodox Church of Matthias Zoscin. Area clergy, including Protopresbyter Robert J. Rebeck, Rector of Protection of the Virgin Mary, Allentown, PA, Archpriest James Weremedic, Rector of St. Mary's in Coaldale, PA, and Priest Kirill Zawaski, Rector of Holy Ascension Church in Frackville, joined us at the banquet. Enjoy the pictures of the beautiful day. It was a day filled with memories, fellowship, and a renewed spirit, looking forward to the future.
